Solid Surface
Solid Surface is a low maintenance, non-porous, and through body material (color and pattern is consistent through the countertop) made primarily from acrylic and resins. Â
ABOUT Solid Surface
Solid Surface is warm to the touch, its seams are best in class, and has unique versatility. Scratches can be scrubbed or sanded out presenting like new countertops years after their original install. They come in a wide range of designs and patterns, even mimicking stone and wood patterns, are resistant to staining, and unaffected by humidity that cause wood-based countertops to warp.

Our Solid Surface
KBR mainly uses Corian, Hi-Macs, and Wilsonart products. However, we’ve worked with every major supplier of solid surface over the last 30+ years and know the intricate fabrication details of each. So whichever brand and color you like let us know and we’ll help turn your vision into reality. Â
Solid Surface was created in the mid 1960’s by Dupont. In recent years, suppliers have been upgrading their color and design to mimic natural stone. It’s incredibly resilient, scoring high marks for its resistance to impact damage. Also, given its non-porous makeup it’s hygienic and is extremely resistant to stains.
Solid Surface is a thermoformable material. This means that we can heat up and bend the material to create a continuous piece.Â
Many companies are introducing Hi-Definition colors. These colors try to mimic natural stone products. Selection of these products will impact the seamless appearance as seams will now create cross-graining flow like granite and quartz countertops. Inquire for additional details regarding these colors and designs.

KBR warrants the workmanship performed for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of original installation. Workmanship covers seam and sink seperation.
Additionally, there is a warranty associated with the material that is covered by the respective supplier of your material. The following are a list of the suppliers we typically use. We’ve hyperlinked to their respective warranty pages for your convenience. Â
